Its been a long time since I've been on LJ and its a ghost town. So I imported all 3 of my LJ's (alassante.livejournal.com, alassante2.livejournal.com, and alikat7.livejournal.com) over to Dreamwidth - https://alikat7.dreamwidth.org. I plan on deleting the entries on LJ *after* I find out how to find posts(beyond the most recent) on here. It doesn't seem to have a page back/forward.

Although I didn't like Rings of Power that much(sob), I ended up looking up a lot of things to check which got me back into my Silmarillion interest intensely. I don't know if I'll write any more fanfic except I do want to finish Paradox of the Fourth Age hopefully someday. I haven't updated it in ten years LOL

I don't plan on updating my Leverage WIPs but there is one Game of Thrones fic that I hope to work on. Plus I have 2 WIPs and 1 upcoming Marvel fics. The upcoming Marvel fic is actually a Silmarillion/Marvel crossover. I just need to get my real life offline under some control so my muse stops hiding.

I don't know if anyone from the LOTR/Silmarillion fandom is still around these journals. I'll post on LJ and hopefully, people will find me over here. I really miss my friends. I had such a crappy exit to the LOTR fandom and then it seemed like I lost touch with everyone except maybe ten people. Then it seems like alot of the online gathering places disappeared.

I have a website now for my fansite collective. If people are interested, I could set up a forum there. Forums are nice sometimes plus there isn't as much negativity as there is on Tumblr, FB, Instagram, or Twitter.

There are definitely fewer of us around, but the LOTR/Tolkien fandom ain't dead yet. I'm not very active in any fandom at the moment, and not really doing much on any social media except here and tumblr. Too many trolls everywhere these days.

Not sure why the back/forward function isn't working for you on DW. Maybe a glitch with whatever your layout is? I don't know enough about how all that works (still, even though I've been here a number of years).

As I was snagging people off your friends list that I actually knew lol and saw you're a Winter Soldier fan. I LOVE HIM! I'm writing a Marvel/Silmarillion fic. I haven't posted anything yet because I'm trying to finish my LOTR fanfic that I haven't updated in 15+ yrs. I always intended to finish it but never intended to wait this long lol But I also have 2 Marvel WIPs I'm working on. I swear all the writers on Tumblr write 1 chapter smut fics and mine end up being over 10 chapters at least and the sex is not even in every chapter. One is Bucky/Wanda after Civil War and the other Bucky gets 3 young kids from his great-great nephew's death. I really want to finish those two. I go from having a dead writer's muse to having her running amuck.

I am on Tumblr and I love it for fandom graphics and stuff but not as much for writing. I just post fanfic updates with links to AO3. I feel like we were much closer when we were all on LJ because we saw people's private life posts as well as fandom posts. I miss that. No forum boards, no LJ - it's kinda sad. So what are you doing lately?? Still writing?

I just adore Bucky Barnes. *g* I've written a few fics for him, but I haven't been writing anything in quite a while, because of real-life stress and just... the muse has fled (hopefully temporarily or at the very worst a long hiatus, because I'd really like to get back to wording someday).

Tumblr for me is an escape. I do the pretteh pics (mostly of Bucky) but for the most part I'm just there to laugh at silly posts and look at beautiful photography when I can find it--I'm a bit of a magpie over there, no aesthetic but just shiny. 99% of fandom stuff over there is smut and shipping, neither of which interests me in the slightest, but the fan art can be lovely.

Hi! I'm around and so are a few other people. Dreamwidth is my preferred blogging platform. Tumblr's good for a mindless scroll (though it's where a majority of fandom occurs nowadays) and Discord is way too busy to keep up with; I have most of the SWG Discord channels muted.

I'm not really in Silm fandom anymore (hanging on with my fingernails) but am more or less (less right now due to non-fandom reasons) primarily in Star Wars Prequels/Empire-era fandom.

I'm not into the SW writing fandom but I love Star Wars. Princess Leia and Carrie Fisher were my heroes. I prefer the original trilogy to the prequels though obviously - due to the lack of Leia in the prequels lol I'm mostly in Marvel, LOTR/Silm, and GOT. Although I'm not very active on GOT. I just came back to LOTR/Silm about 2 months ago. I mean I loved it all along but I mean the fandom and fanfics. I'm updating a WIP I always intended to finish but I haven't updated it in 15+ yrs. But hey - better late than never right? lol

I miss blogging. I use Tumblr mostly for photos and animations (sucker for those) Discord is only for SWG. I used to be on there when I was gaming during Co-Vid. But even SWG is a lot to keep up with and I'm so out of practice with just being social online. lol

Oh, the OT is my favorite trilogy (I first saw it several years before the PT existed) but the PT grabbed me like nothing else. It's the possibilities and canon divergent AUs and yeah.
